I am wanting to run a CPD for my receptionists. Anyone think of anything I can put in apart from the usual fleas/worms/vax/ops ETC?
Also has anyone got the notes from the reception perfection CPD run by MSD animal health - formerly intervet

Re: Reception Perfection

I went on a really good course for vet receptionists by OnSwitch which was all about call coaching, how to engage clients etc. I found it really useful :)

Re: Reception Perfection

Hiya,

I did the reception purrfection course by Nobivac - it covered:

The receptionists role

Vaccinations for dogs, cats and rabbits (including a brief history, types of immunity, types of vaccine, the diseases + risk factors)

Client expectations

Dealing with difficult clients and complaint handling

Practice policies (handling bereavement, cash handling, bill presentation, telephone tips, professionalism, worming & fleas)

Admitting and discharding patients (this may not be applicable if your nurses do it?)

Hope that's of some use to you :)
