This annoys me too. I often check and write underneith "dog has been found" or add a link to hoax slayer in the case of those "oh my hynikien support dog baiting" things.

I think Facebook is largely what you make it. I like it in lots of ways, because it helps me keep in touch with younger relatives in other countries. But I completely agree with Ellerina. I think you have to be really careful with sharing things on Facebook. There is a huge amount of inaccurate, and also malicious stuff there, which some people seem to share indiscriminately

As for FB - elephant dung mostly IMHO, although I do use it on the odd occasion for amusement purposes. (FB, not elephant dung )

I always thoroughly check anything before I share it on facebook. So many stupid things are linked on a regular basis like "x product is being recalled because it killed babies!1!11!!!" And then you research it and the product is only being recalled in one country and no one has died its just a precaution or whatever.

Did anyone see the post about that girl being kidnapped by "gypsies" which then turned out to be racist propaganda. People lose all sense on fb and just click share. Its just like Chinese whispers half the time
