The rvc diploma has more academic credits at a higher level than rcvs accredited ones. Its a Level 8 qual no level 6.

if you want rcvs accreditation you can add this.

the rvc diploma offers a lot of flexibility

i know what you mean about not wanting to feel isolated, but i can assure you its not like that on the rvc dip. you are on forums everyday and so build up a really good group of colleagues along the way, x

I have done the RCVS diploma and really enjoyed it. You can then top up if you want to as well as this counts as credits to a degree. Not sure how the rvc dip works but I liked being able to choose modules I was interested in. Personally I would have felt very isolated without any in days at all - I think it helps with motivation and ironing any issues out - but everyone is different!

I did old style RCVS advanced Diploma. As stated before you don't get RCVS status with the RVC one. I know that the Dip. AVN can count towards full BSc, not sure about the RVC one. Like people have said choose the one that is right for you/employer. Good luck

im in the first year of the rvc diploma. it is really hard going and a lot of work. i am really enjoying it though. I'm sure it's slightly higher level than adv dip (level 6), but you don't get the revs recognition. to be honest, i can't see that any employer would have an issue with someone having the grad dip and not the adv dip as that are both so similar.

have a look at the syllabus and see what suits you. i chose the rvc dip as it didn't involve weekends away, just a week at the beginning of the course. there is a lot of support if you need i, and even though its distant learning i have got to know lots of people on the forums and its like a little family! good luck in whatever you choose x

Don't Know which is better but im currently doing Myerscough advanced Diploma. Not sure if you get blue badge with RVC
