I get my students to do a seperate disposal of waste appendix to the health & safety appendix.

I have an instruction sheet for it but it's at work - basically says for the appropriate legislation, identify what your reponsibilities as an employee are, and then describe examples of how you comply in your day-to-day work. E.g. under personal protective equipment regulations 1992, I have to use PPE provided to me by my employer, for example wearing visors when assisting dental work etc etc etc

Off the top of my head - the relavent legislation is Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and under that Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992, Manual Handling Regulations 1992, Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 (that ones good for finding H&S relavent to reception work), Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992. Then RIDDOR, COSHH and Radiation regulations (only need to include them in level 2 if you mention x-rays in any of your cases).

HSE website is a good place to start http://www.hse.gov.uk/legislation/ I think the BSAVA textbook of vet nursing has a basic explanation of everything also.
