Ive been working overseas as a head nurse for many years and recently came to the UK. I am about to become registered and wondered what the average monthly salary is/should be of a RVN?

It depends on where in the country you work, if accommodation comes with the job is the rent deducted out of your pay or do you pay in other ways (e.g. when I was a student nurse, any student who lived in didn't get paid for their nights). if there is out of hours are you paid for your time in extra pay or time off in lieu or is a rate calculated into your pay packet automatically? if you are in one practice or if you locum...

Like I said how long is a piece of string...

When I qualified I was working in a deprived area of the east kent coast. Because I had several years of experience behind me from before I started my training at this practice I was on a higher wage anyway. When I qualified I was on about £14,500/annum before tax which came to about £900 per month
