Happy New Year to everyone!
I was hoping someone could help me, I'm posting anonymously for obvious reasons, but I found out on New Year's Eve that I'm pregnant :)
I'm only 5 weeks but am wondering when I should tell work? When did everyone

Re: Pregnant

I dont have anything to add except congratualtions :)

Re: Pregnant

Thanks everyone! I'm not due in until middle of next week anyway but will tell them when I go back :) x

Re: Pregnant

I told my immediate line manager when I was 7 weeks but only because I needed to avoid fluoroscopy. I didn't tell my head nurse or anyone else until I was 14 weeks.
After a previous job where I told my head nurse at 5 weeks and within 3 days the entire practice knew, which I then miscarried I decided I wouldn't tell anyone this time unless I absolutely had to.
Congratulations x

Re: Pregnant

Congratulations x

Re: Pregnant

You should tell your manager immediately - but they have to keep the information confidential, whilst still ensuring yours and your baby's safety. How easy that is to achieve depends on your individual rota and working conditions.
