like i4? I did some work two weeks ago now and have yet to be paid, although i4 said they have submitted my invoice. Is this normal

Re: locum pay query

Hi,

I locumed through Rig vets and did my pay through I4.

I had to submit an timesheet/invoice to I4 and ALSO a timesheet to my locum agency.

Would be worth contacting your agency as they may have forgotten to tell you to do this - mine did!

Re: locum pay query

I4 are probably waiting for the practice to pay them, id get in touch with the practice to jog their memory.

I tend to stay away from ooh as much as possible but in the practice i am at now i do the odd night 'on call'. I don't tend to charge a fee for being on call as the practice is very good at keeping me in work and pays me a really good hourly rate, if it was at any other practice i would charge a rate for being on call plus hourly rate and mileage for when called out. Its entirely up to you what you charge.

I do some vets now day shifts and really enjoy them, think it depends on what area to how busy it is really. You can see lots of great cases and general emergency cases you would see in day practice (cut paws, rta's, blocked cats etc). I was scared when i first started doing shifts as you are sole charge but its really not scary at all now, in fact i love the adrenaline rush of an emergency and spending time one to one nursing :)

Re: locum pay query

I had a similar problem when locuming through i4, they said it relies on the clinic paying them first? So maybe chase the clinic too :) took me a while but I got there.

Re: locum pay query

Ring i4- that sounds a little long to be waiting. I have used them and they are usually very good- invoice submitted on monday and paid on friday. normally you submit the invoice to the locum agency who then pass it on to i4
