Cannot seem to find much about it on the Internet ATM. Not in English anyway. Sorry not sure exactly how to use private messaging. Thank you.

Re: Working abroad

Canada varies on a state-by-state basis; however UK VNs are very highly rated there and in some states you can certainly get registered there, albeit as a small-animal-only vet tech. (Canadian vet techs are large and small animal.) There are of course hoops to jump through but there always are.

Re: Working abroad

It is not at all easy to get a sponsored position in australia, in fact it's almost impossible. It costs the practice a great deal of money so I would say its unlikely unless they already know you. NZ does have VNs so would be a good option and does have locum positions available.
Canada would also be a good place to consider, far easier than the USA as has a working holiday visa option whereas the USA doesn't and visa restrictions there are super strict, also you need to be licenced in each state you want to work in. Good luck in wherever you choose :)

Re: Working abroad

This isn't any of the countries you mentioned, but thought it was worth giving you another possibility - I'm currently working in Sweden, and UK-trained vet nurses are in HUGE demand here at the moment, as the regulations over here have changed recently, meaning that nurses can no longer be trained "on the job" here and have to be licensed. This has led to lots of nurses having to go into formal training, meaning they are in practice less, and lots more deciding to leave the profession altogether - so there aren't enough Swedish nurses to fill the jobs. There is some paperwork to do but you don't need a visa, and most practices don't require you to speak Swedish! PM me if you want any more info :)
