The PDSA do a great online course in Euthanasia & Bereavement in vet practice.

I did it earlier this year after my very elderly [19.5 yrs] last 'kitten' died. It really made me think about the options for dealing with bereaved clients and how to help staff as well [my vet staff were very upset as his death was totally unexpected]. You get a certificate of course completion and several people I know have now done the course, professionals and owners alike and have found it very interesting. Go to the pdsa website [www. pdsa.ord] and search for the link to e-learning.

theres a few organisations that offer bereavement support training (human rather than animal) in exchange for volunteer involvement. I have found them to be very useful. PM me if interested
