Spreading them out may be a good idea if you tend to panic during exams, which I am aware happens with some students.

Keep an eye on the RCVS website though, they are continually updating the practicals and have added another 3 on the 21st April. The list is always subject to change and will keep you on your toes!

Re: delaying practical exams and written exams

hi, you can sit your written exams providing you have 60 % of portfolio done. the reason for this is hopefully if you have done 60% you will be more likely to pass your exam. you can do your practicals whenever you have completed your portfolio but you must have proof saying that it has passed final review from your iv otherwise you aint allowed in your practical exam. it does not matter that you take your written at a different time to your practicals. good look in whatever you decide to do.

Re: delaying practical exams and written exams

I thought it must be ok as the autumn practicals are also there for people who have failed the summer practicals and passed the written obviously so maybe it is ok, i really hope so!

Re: delaying practical exams and written exams

My understanding (I spoke to RCVS about this this week) is that this would be ok, but it'd be at the discretion of your course provider. They tend to have the 60% rule, but the RCVS said they don't actually care about that, but they suggest it as a guide to the course providers as to when when a student would be ready to take the writtens.

Providing your portfolio has 60% you can complete the writtens anytime, and 100% for practicals

A few friends of mine sat their practicals before their written exams

Good luck xxx
