Thanks guys! That's what I thought but when I googled it came up with something about deceased patients : / was confused! The bombs sound great, might have to ask our partners if we can order some.

I think it basically means after the patient has left the ward for good. So when it goes home, you do a terminal clean. At least, that's what I've taken it to mean.

This can be classed as the deep clean of everything once the patient has been discharged. There should be a protocol in place for a deep clean of the ward to include disinfecting all surfaces, restocking and removing contamination etc. We used to use aerosol 'bombs' too. Set the can off in the sealed room and leave all cupboards open etc and the aerosol helps to clear any nasties :-)
