I think imported from USA. Which when the cat walks on it delivers a static shock. She puts it outside the bedroom door and now after a few months doesn't even have to switch it on as the cats won't go anywhere near it.

Re: HELP!! He didn't bother us last night so I am hoping that these few tricks are working. Even though I did frequently wake up throughout the night, think I must just be expecting to get disturbed now! I basically just did everything suggested, all doors left open so he could explore, fed small meal just before bed, bit of play time (even though he is really lazy and the youngest just gets in the way because she wants to play!), and put biscuits all around the house (which again, I'm pretty sure the youngest just went round and munched up most of, hence her name, Monkey!).

Have closed bedroom door today so maybe he'll get to realise that he doesn't need to go in there at any time. He doesn't sleep in my bedroom during the day anyway.

Anyway, hopefully another quiet night tonight!

Re: HELP!! When i get home i leave the window open for him to go out and play, until my partner and me are ready to go up, then when i get him in i feed him the rest of his dinner, he then finishes his dinner and sleeps in his room all night, dont normally hear a peep from him until our alarms go of in the morning:)

As your worried about letting him out to late (luckily i dont have that problem no one else would want my baby haha!) just engage in play with him for like half hour -a hour before you go to bed, and told of his feeding until later (the whole hunt, eat, sleep scenario).

Hope this helps a tad:) Good luck with your little Monsters!

Re: HELP!! My solution is to feed them bit later (if they will let me) with small amount of ration in the bowl and the rest gets hidden around the house for them to spend time finding.Mine are only interested in doors and going through them if they are closed so at night all the internal doors(except kitchen) are open and for me this works. One thing that I have found really useful in the winter is to leave the top drawer open (doesnt work with a bottom drawer for mine!) on a chest of drawers in my room, replace its contents with one of their blankets and 9 times out of 10 either one of both will be asleep in it when I get up in the morning.

Most cats I know are more active at night

Have you tried having a regular playtime with him so he uses a bit of his excess energy before bed time?
