We are on the third since November and now, about a month after getting it, I find out today it needs a new filter and recalibrating again.
I am looking into getting someone in to go through procedure

Re: Lasercyte problems.... again.

[quote user="susan reddan"]

Had problems with ours aswell. It was undercounting red cells...everything was anaemic! At one stage I felt I could nearly work for Idexx tech support. Used all the tricks with the bottles but still had to get new machine. So far so good. Is your machine connected to any other software systems? Thats the only other suggestion I could offer

I told tech support what I should do Tuesday - made me giggle!

Only thing it is attached to is our VetTest, that seems fine. Its so frustrating. Hoping I can get a new one instead of all these refurbs.

Re: Lasercyte problems.... again.

Had problems with ours aswell.
I seem to be sending dot plots constantly, it tends to be the platelets but last month it was the white blood cells. Have run that sensor adjusting disc a million times (always when asked!) and I have been told today I have to change the filter again, did that with the last one just before they told me they were going to replace it!

My bosses are pretty annoyed that each time we get a refurbed one... and then it breaks again. Noone at the call centres seems to be able to help me get a new, working one!

Typically this time it is 2 days before I am off for almost 2 weeks... and noone else plays with my machines

Re: Lasercyte problems.... again.

[quote user="Caro Laithwaite"]

PM one seems to be ok and gets very heavy use. Do you punch a hole through with a needle in the top of the purple tube once you have the blood in it and before going into lasecyte if not it screws up the machine as the vacume releases.

Flick and *** as the idexx man told us....and tapping the grey tube on a hard surface before putting it in the machine seems to have stopped our platelet problems...

Re: Lasercyte problems.... again.

PM one seems to be ok and gets very heavy use.
