If you can get to Hayes in West London, there is a vet practice called Animals Are Us.

They are actually in South Hayes, not far from A4 and they specialise in exotics, so they may be able to help you. Web site is animalsareus.co.uk I think.

Would contacting the reptile house at London Zoo be worth a shot? If you find someone who is keen they are usually happy to help and pass on their knowledge!

Can't suggest a practical workshop I'm afraid but have you thought of trying one of the exotic referral centres/vets in your area or perhaps one of the animal colleges to see if they can help you if its mainly handling etc that you need? Hope you find something suitable Jane x
