I'm considering doing this course and was wondering what your thoughts are on it? Has it got a good structure to the learning? Do you get good support during it? And do you think it could be done on top of a wedding and a possible first time house

Re: ICC feline Nursing Certificate

Hi - I loved my course! I would say go for it! I was in the middle of leaving one job and starting another job and recovering from an

accident! It certainly took my mind off things! I would agree, that at times the support could have been better but having said that I

acheived what I set out to do and got a distinction so it was well worth it. You only get out of it what you are prepared to put in. So

research research research! I did get a bit frustrated at times with the course material being, how shall i put this, limiting as I

wanted to expand my knowledge and use my life-time experience to explain certain senarios but had to keep within the boundaries

of the course or else I would have still been writing! Good luck with everything .

Re: ICC feline Nursing Certificate

Hi,

All your input is helpful! I need the truth :)

The wedding is not an all out, massive, white wedding. Its all booked and deposits down already, so next yr will literally be getting a dress (seen one for £120 and hair/make up) I'm not having the stress of flowers, bridesmaids and all the things that need huge organisation. And it most certainly is not costing the national average of £20000 plus! So I honestly don't think I'll have to worry too much about time out for that.

As for the house, its a family members house that we're desperate to keep but may not even be for sale for another year and I can only really do that on the new 5% deposit scheme, so that is a may or may not happen thing. It really is an up in the air thing and has no certainty to it.

Soo, my thinking is that £445 for the course is gonna be neither here nor there for wedding/house. Also if the house does come up, it needs total renovation and will def keep my preoccupied for the following year so I don't really want to wait 2 yrs.

What do you think? Does this extra explanation change anyones ideas?

Thanks,

Vicky

Re: ICC feline Nursing Certificate

Hi Vicky

I have done this course and am just in the process of finishing the feline diploma. I have just gotten married too and I had to out the course on hold for about three months during my pre and post wedding period! The courses are really good, the certificate is fairly straightforward, but does require a certain amount of dedication, so might be a bit tricky if you are moving house too. Support wise it could have been better, but if you are happy to do plenty of research yourself they are worthwhile courses. The feedback I have been given was helpful for most of the units I completed. Hope this helps.

Re: ICC feline Nursing Certificate
And do you think it could be done on top of a wedding and a possible first time house buy?
With the greatest of due respect, I can 99% promise you the answer is no. A wedding will preoccupy you and suck away your time and attention - the last month is a nightmare of stress and crazy. The first time house buy is also a particular mental time - mainly because you'll be paying large deposits for the wedding and the mortgage, so you may simply not have the cash to pay for the course!

You just won't have the time and attention to do justice to the course.

Please note: I don't mean this course in particular; I mean a house and a wedding will almost certainly rule out any serious continuing education, no matter who offers it!
