As far as I understand it... It's a bit like a driving test with major and minor faults. You not only have to pass the major bits (the grey shaded bits on the paper copy) but get a percentage of the minor bits too. Unless you get both you don't pass it. As for it changing depending on the candidates on a given day im not sure that can be possible? If it is it's mightily unfair and inconsistent!! I could be completely wrong mind!!

I don't understand the pass rates, I passed 7 osces, but my lowest percentage was 88% and all my others were 92 % and above, if i did not do the key parts then why do i have such high percentages on the osces i failed? Anyone have any clue? I don't like the idea the your results can differ depending on the general percentage that other students get on the day. x

That makes me feel a lot more confident :) Well good luck to everyone taking them this weekend and if anyone sees a short panicking nurse on saturday at 11:30 at hartpury that's properly me :) Emily

I know at my college in our class everyone who took them at the same time as me passed first time (about 7 in total), I put it down to practice practice practice and making sure you understand the reasons for the silly extras you have to do over what you normally do in practice so in your head you can talk yourself through it in methodical steps:-).... at least thats what worked for me.

Just remember there not tryna trip your up they want you to pass just as much as you want to there just making sure you are safe and competent to become a RVN :)
