Help!

I have my OSCES this weekend and was wondering if any one has any tips on what instruments to learn for them? Really starting to panic about the practicals now :(

Re: Osce Instruments... Second on friday. Living on rescue remedy at the moment.

The instruments were very basic. Know the different needle holders and artery forceps. I think there was a towel clip, a gelpi retractor, different scissors, rat tooth and adson browne forceps.

Re: Osce Instruments... Got scissors, retractors, towel clips, forceps. Nothing too scary I didn't think. It could vary at different centres though. I'm sure that as long as you know your basic instruments you will be fine.

Re: Osce Instruments... Know the difference between oestotome, chisel and gouge. The list is endless unfortunately. Good luck. If you're in theatre this week why not ask vets and nurses to quiz ya. Have a flick through the vet instrumentation catalogue. Have you got access to instrumentation book??

Re: Osce Instruments... I used the Animalcare instrument brochure and found it to be beneficial.

Good luck!
