If anybody knows of anybody that wants a student vet nurse with a 50 mile radius of chesterfield (ps it is a placement so we don&#39;t get paid), can you pls let me know. en-USTelligent Community 10https://www.vetnurse.co.uk/thread/146235?ContentTypeID=1Sun, 22 Sep 2013 22:02:07 GMT1a0763ec-3885-442c-853e-6cef656dfec5:cf48ba89-0fbb-48d4-960a-a8ff87c9d5c1jsmout<p>You&#39;d think they would jump at the chance of free labour wouldn&#39;t you!&nbsp; Mind you, with an svn I suppose they can&#39;t overload themselves too much.&nbsp; My own vet [the one I take my cat to that is] have got both a dip and a degree student from potters bar and then they&#39;ve taken on an apprentice whose placement fell through, so no room for poor old me.</p> <p>I wanted to do the vca at potters bar, but my placement fell through so couldn&#39;t continue with application.&nbsp; Am now studying the ana online and only doing the award at the mo as no clinical placement yet.&nbsp; Hopefully I will be helping out in a cattery in a couple of weeks, so at least can get the housing and feeding units completed, which &#39;should&#39; make me more attractive to a vet practice.&nbsp; I may have a placement at a local practice in the new year, when their refrubishment is completed.&nbsp; It would be nice as they use caw at pb,which is where I think I would like to train.&nbsp; It is so annoying though and not helped when I find out this week that college have only sent me notes for 5 of the 7 learning outcomes for the emergency nursing unit!</p> <p>Hope you get yourself sorted out soon, I&#39;m sure I&#39;ll be back here and moaning again before long!</p> <p>Jan S&nbsp; -&nbsp; student ANA</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
