We use Trigene - we did consider using the safe4 products but the contact time is longer.

Never used Virkon before how is this better than just Trigene/safe4 etc?

We used to use trigene everywhere. Standard dilution and theatre dilution. Different coloured mop and buckets for different areas. Ie prep, theatre, kennels, isolation etc. used Virkon in isolation. And monthly Virkon everywhere else. After infected theatre cases used used to Virkon too

We use trigene for everything then we have vircon friday where you guessed it we use vircon instead;)

We use Safe4, 100mls to 5litres (for general use then stronger for isolation) we dilute it ready for everyone to pour out and use ready diluted we wasted lots before doing this as everyone was using there own dilution rate. I work in a charity practice so assume we get this for a really good price otherwise we would be using something cheaper!

cue the reps from the different companies - enter stage left to tell us all why their product is better than the rivals. Well thats how it usually happens on here anyway - unless they are all on summer hols
