This was about 6 weeks ago now and it looks like its going to be quite a long term thing

Re: dog bite - can i claim?

How horrible

As you are concerned about how it would affect your boss I take it you have a good relationship with the practice so why not ask to have a chat with them about it?

Explain your concerns and give them chance to help you. Also, I am pretty sure they will have concerns for themselves over this as it sounds quite nasty so all talking openly may help both sides resolve this and get you on the mend as quick as possible

Re: dog bite - can i claim?

Your employer has insurance if you were to claim so they wouldn't lose out financially.
I would be more inclined to persue the rescue centre for the dogs euthanasia, I don't know how they can rehome a dog that has badly bitten someone. It could easily bite the new owner or a child. Very irresponsible behaviour. When there are so many nice dogs needing rehoming. I would be going after them demanding the dog be pts
