I have hit a bit of wall when planning NPL coverage with one of my 3 students! Just wondering what sort of cases people are using for Chronic, Critical and Terminal cases?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: NPL SAVN17 & SAVN18

Cheers guys there was lots of useful advice there. In caring for terminal patients I just used PTS cases. I only stated with one of them what the clinical condition was, CRF in that case. For critical care I used GDV, RTA, insulin overdose, ARF, dyspnoea, cerebral oedema, urethral obstruction, toxicity, aspiration pneumonia... All sorts! Hope that helps :)

Re: NPL SAVN17 & SAVN18

Hi,

For a chronic case i used renal failure, critical i used patients with hypovolemic shock/ punctured lung and with terminally ill patients we used cases immune mediated hemolytic anemia, but mainly spoke about supporting the owner.

Hope this helps

Re: NPL SAVN17 & SAVN18

Terminal I used fly strike bunny.
Chronic I used renal failure case.
Critical I had a heart failure dog with ascites, in severe respiratory distress.
I must have had more cases but these are the ones I remember off top of my head
