I have a client who's cat wanders a couple of roads away from home, most of the time. But it only goes into houses of other cat owners. Last year it terrorised a family by catching baby

Re: agressive cat

Thanks sal. I think that ones worth a try. I'm wondering if they have a new cat or baby in the house. Maybe it doesn't what to be at home.

Re: agressive cat

I own an agressive cat and have done the following - I live in a village so it is a bit different but this could help

I have a poster of the culprit in the local pub and post office and village hall asking people not to feed him, which has helped quite a bit because more often than not he only goes back to places he can get fed, I also have my phone number on there so people know who to ring if he is becoming a problem and I will come and retrieve him. Maybe your owner could try similar if they dont want to keep him in?

Re: agressive cat

We are not allowed to give the owners details out unless the owner has agreed. We have contacted the owners couple of times so they are aware of the problem. Only thought is for the families that are being attacked to contact RSPCA re the stress the cat is causing.

Re: agressive cat

I had a similar problem recently, when a local cat started coming in to my house and staying put. He had a wound on his face as well, so I took him to the local practice and had the microchip read. The receptionist then called the microchip company, got the owner's address and asked if I could take him back, which I did. It helped him and me, as I now know where he lives.

I would have thought that you could do the same thing perhaps. Just call the owners and inform them of the problem and then let them deal with it. It is unfortunate that because of the nature of cats, there is very little that can be enforced by law. I've just given up with mr B [the intruder cat] and installed a microchip cat flap, but of course it doesn't stop him coming through windows in this weather
