I am thinking about starting a pet sitting service (not actually staying overnight though) and I was wondering if anybody has any experience in this area? Does anybody know what insurance is needed and do you ask clients to sign anything

Re: Pet Sitting - what are the legalities?

That's great!
I launched my own petsitting business last year and the best thing you can do is become a member of NARP . Go to www.dogsit.com

For around £100 you will be fully insured for all forms of petsitting services and will have access to a forum of other petsitters and all the documentation you will need.

I get all my clients to fill out paperwork with their details and their pets incl usual vets, routines.diets meds etc.

You definitely can advertise that you are an RVN - I have a booming business already greatly due the reassurance of my qualification to care for my clients pets.

Good luck!
