So ordered james well beloved yest went into work all ready to try it tonight and I'd ordered the wrong one ordered lamb not turkey, he can't have lamb! So will be a trip to pets at home tomorrow to get some poor cat will have to suffer one more night

It is a grain free food with a superior high meat content for cats with allergies and does not contain any of the ingredients your kitty is allergic to.

They have a chicken & veal variety as well as rabbit,beef & duck variety. I've moved my cats over to this as well as a couple of other brands (Bozita, Animonda Carny & Hermanns-although not all these are grain free) and the difference to coat & poo's is amazing! They eat less of it as such high meat content and just wolf it down! Smells yummy to the human too! and is very cost effective :-)

Ziwi Peak was mentioned above and this is a fantastic wet food but oh so eye watering expensive!! If you can afford it that too is a great option.

Thank you for all your replies will look on the v pod at work and see what I can get, he's not fussy and would love me to be cooking him chicken and turkey everyday he may be little but his appetite is huge he thinks he's a Labrador and eats everything! Just hoping now I know what he's intolerant of I can get weight on him he should be at least 5kg but only 4.2kg, steroids made no difference to him feel so sorry for him I was recently diagnosed with a lactose intolerance after suffering ibd for 7yrs so can only imagine what his intestines have felt like

Don't know whether it's available in the uk, but try Feline Naturals a freeze dried food you can soak - very high in protein so transition slowly!! Or Ziwipeak do a feline moist food venison flavor amongst others, let us know how you get on good luck

I have every sympathy.

My dog was diagnosed on ex lap with IBD and food allergy tests showed him to have a lot of allergies. Not sure if this info helps but...... one of his allergies is wheat (soya, chicken, beef & rice) and after most of his 9years of life has been stable on wafcol salmon & potato but he stole a loaf of bread out of a receptionists bag in April - only this week is he back 100% on dry food. until then he has been having to have home cooked fish & potato!!!

My advice would be to go home cooking first and for a decent amount of time. although my dogs dry food was just salmon and potato he couldn't tolerate the format. I spoke with medicine specialist and they say try to avoid drugs (he was on steroids as they worked before but made no diff this time) and go when settled for 5 days, add in a small change for 5-7 days and see what happens.

As said, not sure if this helpful but hopefully will be reassuring to know just how long it can take to settle

Good luck and at least you have a cat and not a 30kg Labrador to cook for!

the only 2 I know of are z/d and d/d unfortunately I have had a similar problem trying to find a food for one of my cats as an exclusion diet as she seems to be developing more sensitivities as she's getting older shes now on hills d/d and a bit of wet z/d with her meds

Sorry! it's amazing when you look at all the foods how many have "meat derivatives" etc in
