We have recently taken on a student who used to go to MYF and will be transferring to CAW in September. She has completed 1 year at MYF and I have worked

Re: NPL progression

By the end of the first year units 1-7 must be finished and possibly some sections further on opened. There is alot of overlap from VN7 and SAVN16-17 so its wise to multiple link so you dont find a year later you have to repeat those enemas!

You should ask your student why minimal work has been done. Did they have a poor clinical coach who didnt help or are they just struggling in general? Get in touch with their old college and have a chat with the tutor also to find out.

One other thing you will need us the record of training and annual leave from the previous practice. Make sure you get your student to sort this out otherwise when they do complete youll have issues signing everything off!

Re: NPL progression

I would have said the same units 1-7 completed by end of first year.

You maybe need to check with her whether this is because she did not make any effort herself or because she didnt have the workload at her last practice. I have recently taken over a student who is in a similar situation and hers is because she doesnt bother logging or cross reference cases despite being shown numerous times.

i would just put it to her nicely the sooner she is completed the better as less to do around serious revision time.

Re: NPL progression

I qualified in May this year on the 2 year diploma course. We were expected to complete 1-7 by the end of the first year.

Re: NPL progression

Thanks guys. That was along the lines I was thinking. A lot of hard work ahead I feel!

Re: NPL progression

Our target to work to was complete units 1-7 by the end of year 1, complete 75% overall by the end of year 2, and obviously 100% by the end of year 3 :)

Re: NPL progression

Amy Homer.
