Sleep in duty, last check on animals at 11pm. £75 per duty. We also have to work the day before and the day after a night duty.

Re: On call pay

I work in a small referral centre, bit like you 2 nurses and we have a casual arrangement that one of us will be free. so if im away a weekend or have a party or something she will be free and visa versa. with drinking and thing s I don't ever get over the top so have said in the past (like on my hen do) you can call me but you'll have to pick me up as I said just too many to drive not do work. Also as a cardiologist the chances of being called out are very slim let alone doing an anaesthetic (been called out 2 times in 2.5years)

pay wise we get time and a half or time in lew back, up to us and normally I include my travel time in that (within reason)

if your not happy I would say to speak to your boss about it and maybe ask for more of a casual arrangement, or the small fee for being free sounds good.

Re: On call pay

Hi we get £20 for being on call and time and a half if we get called in and double time after midnight x
