On the plus side thanks for the laughs! Our old head nurse had a uniform with poppers..... Caught on the door handle....gave all the waiting room an eye ful!

Re: Unsuitable attire for visiting the vets!

Ali - you reminded me re zips

as the practice first aider I was once asked to assist a MOP who visited the loo and in his haste to get out and not miss his appointment trapped a bit of skin in his zip. I didnt get involved just gave him a large disposable drape to tie around his waist apron style to hide his embarrassment and called him a cab. Bet that was the last time he went commando for a while.

The other one I recall very clearly was a work experience who arrived showing quite an expanse of midriff and a belly button piercing that would probably show up on radar it was so big. Across the top of her very cropped t shirt it said ' THIS BITCH BITES' - she spent the whole week after that either in a huge scrub top or a lab jacket and well away from the general public

Re: Unsuitable attire for visiting the vets!

i used to work in a coastal town and we had to put signs up in the summer stating that all clients had to have a t-shirt on and all had to have proper shoes on their feet.

On another note, I was once passing through the busy waiting room when a staffie we has castrated the week before jumped up at me to say hello. He gradually slipped down my legs but one of his claws got caught in my trouser pocket and suddenly my trousers had followed him to the floor...

Re: Unsuitable attire for visiting the vets!

Apologies. NONE of this is at all politically correct. But is IS all true nonetheless!

Clothing Fails and Successes.

ON the plus side (well, at least for me, hehehe), a delicious young man who smelled so so so heavenly of gorgeous aftershave and definitely had the physique to wear a Rugy Lions fitted shirt (phworrrr)..... fainting, I am fainting....er where was I? Oh yes, I was talking about dental hygiene...

ON the minus side (for everyone) an elderly gentleman in a dressing gown (only) and it falls open to reveal..... well you get the idea. Yurrrkk.

ON the positive(?) side (for my male boss) a very well-endowed and glamorously made-up woman in an extremely low cut top insisting she hold onto her Chihuahua (no pun intended) whilst he clipped the dogs nails... he did struggle to find the dog as it became increasingly swallowed up by her cleavage. Boss's hands shaking a bit before, during and afterwards.... (not sure if this was fear or excitement TBH)

On the negative side for the entire staff from receptionist to nurse to vet...A chap who came in with, what he attested was a very smelly dog with a bad wind problem. He kept blaming the dog for an awful smell. Nothing much wrong with the dog. (Though we could all 'appreciate' the pong). It was only when he turned around we noticed the 'dark patch' on the bum of his jeans that we realised where the smell was actually coming from. Oh my days. Oh. My. DAYS!

An last but not least. My own Fail (and the reason for (1) no matter the weather always wear a T-Shirt under my uniform and (2) selecting a uniform that ZIPS up. the front).

.... catch my uniform on the door handle as I am helping carry a large dog out of the consult room... I am wearing a uniform that has poppers on the front. Yup. You guessed it. I went forwards, the handle stayed where it was and I unpopped all the way. My colleague was halfway down the hallway before he realised that my bra was on full show. Hmmmm - should I be annoyed or happy it took him that amount of time to notice?! Ha ha ha!

Aahhhh - happy days.
