I was really interested in this course!!!! looks amazing, i know my bosses where not at all up for me doing this CPD and not prepared to help with payment which is annoying!

girling and fraser i believe off top of my head google it should pop up for you. i have also just sent my paperwork and am awaiting the first coursework notes soon, fingers crossed all done and dusted by next summer!! thank you for the information on the practicals also.

I did the practicals up at Telford college in Edinburgh as that was the only place then, but they did mention they were going to try get one down south to make it easier.

From what i remember there were 20 practicals each taking a few minutes and it was things like a picture of a bird and a few crop tubes which would you use and how much. Identifying an animal and identify which would be the appropriate food, a picture of an IO catheter placement and where it is, there was a cage and what kind of animal would go in it, ummm i'm afraid thats' all i can really remember - all pretty basic stuff that you learn so nothing to worry about - i hope you do well

What type of practicals are there?? Did you do the exams in the london centre? Do you know where abouts it is?

Ha ha thought I'd gotten away with never having to do practical exams ever again! Exam pressure always gets me! Thank you for your posts they're helpful as still awaiting further info from them ATM. Xx

I completed it last year. Coursework is very straight forward, just short answer essay questions and a few multiple choices. The exam is multiple choice and practicals.

The time frame is pretty good and easy to stay on top of as long as you study well, totally recommend it if your working with or planning to work with exotics, i found it a really helpful course

Hey, I've just started it! The 4 topics (avian, reptile and amphibian, small mammal and wildlife) are split each into 5 areas. You get notes e-mailed to you with each topic, as well as questions which you send back to be marked. It's very in-depth! good knowledge, but you need a lot of time to read all the notes to answer the questions, I did start by making my own notes, but I found that it's much easier to finish the topic questions first as it was taking quite a while! It may be that I wasn't dedicating all my time, but I'm on my 2nd area of avian and I started in May.

I do know there is a final practical exam when you've finished all the coursework
