Also, does your practice have appraisals? Have a good one-to-one with each member of staff, finding out the problems, and addressing them, can really help to move things forward. As always though, a lot of this comes down to management and leadership. If that's weak then everything else does tend to follow...

Agree re the staff do - this can really help to give everyone a different perspective on things!

Re: Help boost staff morale?
Similar problems sal can I also pm you?
sure - I am usually kicking around somewhere on here, I am not offering answers to the problem tho - just looking at ways that might help

theres a lot you can work out for yourself by keeping a diary and noting who is around when it all 'kicks off' and looking at ways to avoid that particular combination or make it more of a positive experience for everybody. Sometimes its just easier to have more than 1 ward round where ward rounds are an issue

It takes you all out of the stress for an evening and who knows people may open up a bit while you are relaxed.

Plus if you have a good night it gives you something to laugh about when you are at work together and stresses come up.

Re: Help boost staff morale?

without knowing any more details a pound to a penny there is at least one person in your practice who doesnt want to be there for whatever reason.
