What are the chances of getting a problem dose reading on my dosemeter?

Maybe so but you should report all accidental exposure to the appropriate people

Re: accidentally exposing X-ray dosimeter....

I doubt it would make a difference my old badge use to fall off it's clip all the time and was exposed a few times and never had a reading

Re: accidentally exposing X-ray dosimeter....

Pahaha Caro, thats excellent. Rang the company who do our readings and they were SO un-fussed about it "Oh, you can send it in now if you want, or just send it in at the regular time with a note"

Erm, alright..

Re: accidentally exposing X-ray dosimeter....

Wont show discussed this with the x-ray protection thingymajigy not long ago after being told about someone who did a series deliberately on highest setting (yrs ago true) that didnt show.

Was told to do so deliberately is actually a criminal offence as the stats are government controlled. A mistake reported though is fine..
