I've got my paper 1 with city and guilds this week, pretty nervous! As we don't know much about city and guilds :( x

Re: Revision timetables

Kate did you do the city and guilds paper or the RCVS paper. I,ve for my paper 2 city and guilds at the end of July and I,m quite nervous as I did my other papers with RCVS.

Re: Revision timetables

While studying for my degree I would write cue cards at the end of every days lectures, so they were all ready when it came to exam time.

I agree with putting things around your house etc so you become aware of them, on top of the cue cards I enjoyed making lots of brightly coloured posters just to make it more enjoyable and once again I was processing the information in a different way. Give yourself breaks, but you need to be strict and stick to a plan then reward yourself once you have done what you set out to do!

Good luck with your exams!

Re: Revision timetables

When I did my exam (paper 2) I worked on a body system and a section linked with it for 1 week. For example; week 1 digestive system & nutrition, week 2 Reproductive system, breeding & genetics etc.

Each week I would write questions on the subject I have just revised and put them on my kitchen cupboards to answer the following week. Every time I opened a cupboard, I answered a question.

The whole plan worked out across 9 weeks.

On the weeks I was working, I made sure I always gave my self 1 night off during the week and only studied about half the weekend, so morning of a sat and then sun afternoon for example. Its important to let yourself have a bit of free time, there is such thing as too much revision.

I recently found out I passed this exam so my revision plan worked for me!
