What about a "dream trip" combined with some kind of wildlife work / experience / volunteering - what about something amazing in Africa, or Asia - many of us would have places we could point you to and it somehow doesn't feel like work when you're doing it in a jungle or a tent on an animal other than a dog or cat and you get to have a drink with new amazing friends while you watch the sun go down somewhere spectacular....?

I know we are all really bad about looking after ourselves in this line of work so how about a break with a few friends to a spa hotel where you can have some relaxing massages during the day and have a nice dinner in the evening - let them look after you.

I agree with the holiday suggestion, same as you i went through marriage, divorce and moving away so i went to Australia for my big one and every one since i go on holiday :) i highly recommend it - but whatever you decide to do - have a great one

depending on how many are invited how about a 'come dine special' where everybody brings a different course of their own speciality

How about a cocktail making party? I went to one for a friends birthday and it was brilliant! We went to a bar in Windsor, they closed the bar and we got taught how to make 3 popular cocktails, then we got into groups and had to make our own cocktail which were judged by the bar man, the winners got a free drink! It was a good fun afternoon. Just get a taxi to pick you up afterwards!

I'm always one for a holiday, a lovely break away can do wonders and will mean you having lots of 'me' time
