I would not recommend going. I went with college a few years ago and HATED it. Made me feel very upset seeing some of the enclosures, not all of them were that bad but some were so def would not go again or recommend anyone to go. I have been to some much better zoos/wildlife parks where the animals have much more space. If they don't have enough space because of building restrictions then in my opinion they shouldn't have large animals that need space they can't provide.

Agree with Jenny T I went there a few weeks ago and also left feeling very sad for the animals, the space for some of the larger oneswas very limited. It all looks as if it needs lots of TLC on the buildings and gardens, although I must admit the animals seemed quite happy and they all looked in good condition so are obviously being well cared for. I did feel very sorry for one poor sleepy bushbaby that had no less than 6 adults in with it, obviously people having a 'be a zoo keeper for a day experience'

Went there last year. It left me feeling rather sad. Certainly the larger animals had very limited space and sterile environments. The "education" side of things was basic, with notices about the animals just really aimed at children.

Having worked at London Zoo as a saturday helper over 20 years ago, I would visit to see how it had changed. I know that there are good and bad parts to the zoo and the main reasons for this are that quite a few of the buildings ( animal accomodation) are listed buildings and the restriction of space ( they have no place to expand to). I would like to see any improvements they have made over the years.

But going to the zoo would also depend on how long i was going to be in London, if i was there only for a couple of days I probably not go.
