Before we got our dogs, we had our garden slabbed. Now the dogs are older and peeing more (male has cushings) you can really smell the urine - despite my parents disinfecting

Re: Urgh I smell wee!!

When you disinfect the slabs don't use anything with amonia. It make the smell worse. Not at all enviromentally friendly but domestos or miltons, biological washing powder & a spray of alcohol. But like I say, don't expect any wildlife anytime in the next century. Seriousy water & lots of it. dont even think of the meter

Re: Urgh I smell wee!!

http://www.fieldguard.com/cleaning_fluid.html

Simple Solutions is a waste of money imho, jet washing is great for outside and if it's in your house Urine Off or Nature's Miracle does the job.

Re: Urgh I smell wee!!

Hi Katy, Jeys fluid is toxic for dogs as far as I am aware.More so for cats.

I power wash about once a month, less in the summer months, as the sun is out longer....... well it's supposed to be so the slabs are not as damp all the time like the winter months with the rain etc. I find that if they are damp it definitley smells more.

Re: Urgh I smell wee!!

We use Jeys Fluid!
