Thankyou all for the kind and supportive comments, i guess I was really down and just needed to vent to my fellow kind who I knew would empathise! We did a pm on molly at the owners request so we may be able to help another dog.... Such a nice client too.... But found nothin abnormal.... The vet is thinking von willebrands even though she was spayed 6 months ago with no issues! A little mystery. That's tough about the bulldogs ... So sad..... But you all know you've tried your best and im sending huge hugs xxxxxxxx keep your chin up guys.

In the last week we had 10 Bulldog pups that myself and another 2 of our nurses were looking after, they died one after another, there is one left, totally depressing (: x

[/quote] Couldn't have said it better, so I won't try. We had one of these (sad to the bone cases rather than clinical comparison) this week. Sometimes I think it will be the emotional aspects of this job that will finish me off long before anything else does😪

What a beautiful tribute to what was no doubt a wonderful patient :) Totally understand what you mean, there are some with that extra 'something'. They were lucky to have you as their nurse. I wonder if this poor pup had a splenic problem? Where rads or an ultrasound done? Just out of interest.
