Sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately you cannot "pass" on prescribed drugs especially if controlled drugs. This is illegal. Return them to your pharmacy. I know it seems a waste but may save you a lot of hassle later.

Sorry to hear about your grandad.

I have just come back from MAWS a charity in Botswana and I know for sure they would be so so grateful of any medication. Its mainly neutering dogs, and RTA's that come in etc, they are a great charity and im sure they'd really appreciate it :)

erm......passing on controlled drugs already prescribed to a person would be ill-advised (not to mention likely to be illegal) and I wouldn't recommend doing anything with these drugs apart from handing them in to the pharmacy for disposal.

Just my opinion.
