What a rip!

Round here it's £16 for half an hour, which is plenty when you are learning to ride! A half an hour lesson kills me and i've got my own horse!

You'll have to come and learn on my beast, Roger. He's a sweetie with beginners!

Re: Horse Riding

I used to do point to point when I was a lot younger/fitter/lighter/more stupid . I only had one rule 'whatever happens I have to stay on the horse' - the reason being as I am somewhat vertically challenged (a short a**e in plain English) if I fell off I most probably wouldnt be able to get back on. Really enjoyed it all the same - even the times I ended up walking back after Riley managed to ditch his rider. (13 owners in 11 years - this was one mean bugger of a horse) I really did try to understand him, I tried to make allowances for his mean behaviour putting it down to having so many owners and probably bad experiences and in return he tried to kill me. Broken hip, broken ribs and loads of bruises. Was a long time before I got on another horse!

But dont let me put you off! My next horse 'Chester' was an absolute sweetie - thoroughbred x Irish Draught couldnt wish for a more gentle horse. Bought him at auction - if we hadnt got him he would have been going to Belgium which would have been a sad end for him.

Re: Horse Riding

lol, I dont think I will be doing any jumps anytime soon

Re: Horse Riding

If you sit to the horse you will be fine we have a nice 17hh you could try

We have three horses and my daughter pays £50 3/4 hour for trianing by a top trianer, but lessons cost about £20 for half an hour.
