Don't know whether you still have it but I work at the Mayhew a charity in North West London and we would really be interested. I will be visiting my parents who live near Newport this weekend (its like fate!) Do you think it would be manageable on the train?

LOL. No worries Paulette. TOLFA were the first people I thought of but it really is a very old fashioned, heavy ECG machine, I looked on ebay and they don't even list ones like this any more (even second hand).

TOLFA were the charity that rejected it Paulette. Too heavy to transport.

It is now taken - subject to collection at BSAVA. Thanks for all the interest.

If it won't work out for those that have already shown an interest, then I'd be keen - have been looking for an ECG for ages, but practice funds just won't stretch to it at mo. Can I put my name on the reserve list? :)

Jo are you thinking if you can't take it to Greece you may be able to rehome it to TOLFA?! I have a couple of people that could bring it from Harper to my house but obv would be a while until would be able to get it to TOLFA as already suitcase overloaded with consumables!

If it is the same I acquired one through the NHS - they do weigh in very heavy

Sounds like it might be too heavy to take abroad then, yeah... if you could weigh it though that would be brilliant! Even if it is too heavy I may still be able to rehome it elsewhere if you dont find anyone else, will let you know!

Hi Jo,

it is very heavy - it has been rejected from another overseas charity on that basis. I can weigh it if you still want and get a rough weight but I would say it is several kgs. It feels like it weighs almost as much as my border terrier.

Hiya, do you have any idea how heavy it is? I am heading out to a charity in Greece in May who might be able to make use of it, but obviously I will be restricted by baggage allowances so it might be too big for me to take...
