Thanks Sal - Yes, looking for an internal light source, monocular is fine, I am not fussed about a vernier but would be a bonus. I have tried Brunel microscopes - they don't seem to have a great deal of second hand gear in stock at the moment!

will see what I have - I presume you are looking for integral light source and vernier too? I may have an old zeiss or an offord monocular,a reasonable binocular might set you back a bit more than a hundred . Failing that can I direct you to Brunel microscopes who have served me well in the past, look in their used and demonstrator section - I have picked up some really nice bits and pieces from them very reasonable

Hey Sal - looking to go to £100 tops, hoping for up to x100.. Probably a tall order but if you have anything that fits the bill..?!
