does this counts towards our CPD as it's an american site? Just wodering I have done some already and also how much CPD does it count towards?

Hey guys, There is a website called the nurse practical learning network and its free cpd, free seminars, free cd's you have to go on www.plnonline.co.uk and register then they will let you know if they accept your registration then you can go on there!!

Shane not to expensive amtra have their free online cpd and an equine cpd day in september it is up north here (go to training then cpd) but you welcome to crash here if you go

You maybe interested to know that the free CPD offered by Celtic SMR (radiography principals) can be converted into a city and guilds quialification for £75 once completed or so I was told the other day when I signed up for it!

I have been told through the grapevine probably blood pressure and possibly setting up ecg's that type of thing. I have managed to get Wibble in on it as a guinea pig which is great, l can take her with me so she won't stress. I pointed out she is 15 with an ATE so pretty rare.

I've done the Intervet Diabetes advisor, which was on a cd, it was in a pack that our rep brought in, that counts towards cpd, I think its either 3 or 5 hours.

As for the nails, I've got really bad nails at the moment too and have used some of the glue on ones, they look ok, a few of my friends have commented and said they look like salon ones, I used revlon ones the last few times.

Any cpd, whether paid for or free can be counted.

There is a good one on here at the moment, well I am taking it it is free, as after the cost it says complimentary. it's a full day thing as well so a good few hours CPD

Being amtra they have not got that organised yet!.

Training is on http://www.overthecounter.cc/

For training questions contact Kathleen in the contact section on the above link and also training modules for official points are there and in the hardcover magazine if you are sqp.

If you are doing your training for or have done your SQP you should be able to log onto the amtra/harper adams site that you were sent details for but that does not count for sqp points but would l am guessing count for rvn points/hours cpd.

I think there was a thread on the old site about it somewhere. I like silver traps tho - lot easier than collecting loads of containers of stinking chemicals. I can remember 1 place i worked we used to store the containers in the garage. Vet came back from a visit in bit of a strop and reversed into them - managed to split 3 containers. We had to get firebrigade out to deal with the 'toxic spill' - didnt do much for the paintwork or the tyres on the car either

oh well, I thought it was silly too. I was happy with the way we used to do it! At the end of the day I'm only in charge of changing the chemicals I don't hold the purse strings, so if they wanna throw money down the drain (good pun) let them lol

I knew you meant natural but the guy that used to service our processor when I was still working told me it was a waste of money because once it has gone through the silver trap 'green' or not there would be negligible difference. sorry wasnt doubting you - just trying to save you a bit of money
