I'm going to BSAVA congress this year so hoping to do that. Thanks for the advice will speak to a few more reps. They will probably know which practices to avoid too.

I found reasonable success by calling practices in the local area or areas I was prepared to work, the ones that sounded interested then I sent a cv. The other method I made good use of was word of mouth - spread it around your friends and contacts (reps are good as well if there are any you are friendly with) that you are looking for locum work, I probably got more work this way than any other its free and the other benefit of that was in most cases you could guarantee you were working in fairly decent practices

Hi Thanks for the reply but yes I sent out my CV to 30 practices. Only 2 every got in touch. I suppose its just a waiting game.

Have you tried sending your cv to all local practices?

Im a locum and i got loads of enquiries when i sent cv's out. I do tend to get work through agencies too though.
