Sorry to pipe u again but can i just say that we were pointed to this site by our equine vet to whom we are good friends with,she said to have a look for information and a general idea of what nursing was like and see what wonderful people you are (well most)

Its not easy, but with patience, determination and sheer hard work, she will get there.

I would like to think that either you or your daughter will still continue to be part of the vetnurse forum here, whether to ask for advice or just post replies to the threads.

Sorry i just couldn't get my head round someone coming on here for their child to get a job and then hanging round and asking about their pets whilst they wait. It just seemed a bit funny. Then when she mentioned that she was a school/nursery teacher and not even working in the profession i just wanted to explain that what she chose on the employment section wasn't the same thing. Which then got all blown out of proportion.

To each their own but a lot of people have been a bit on edge recently and it's not just me. I see this forum as a support group for all of us that need it. I personally found it odd that her daughter hadn't come on here herself if she was that interested in it. My mum would never do anything like that and if she did I would feel a little weird about it. But I'm not everyone. but apparently my opinion doesn't matter so I'll leave you to it. Sorry for upsetting anyone or bothering to care. I'm starting my new job tomorrow and I'm already nervous as hell and super stressed. Not sure I can deal with anymore. :( I'll just keep my mouth shut since i seem to not be able to use it.

I came on here to find out some information about vet nursing for my ADULT daughter some of you may find it weird why i don't know but my intention was no more than that for you i offended i am sorry.

i have been sitting here reading this through and to be honest stephB i found you very rude ! i am a professional too and i would never speak/replyed to anyone like you spoke/replyed to me.

Why you seem to have such a problem with me asking for information about my adult daughter wanting to join this profession is beyond me just because your mother wouldn't do it you find it weird??? my son is off to uni in sept just competed his masters and is off to become a Dr oh! and yes we went with him gosh thats weird taking an interest

My daughter has been on this site under my name to read posts and look for information but her present job does not allow her access all the time and as we have such a fantastic relationship she has NO problem with me posting on her behalf.

As for me hanging around seeking pet information (which i have seen others ask about their pets )what do you think i am some sort of stalker ...for goodness sake oh! and then to add insult to injury i am a nursery nurse but you put me write on that one didn't you!!!!!but is that what really got your goat?Shock Horror a nursery nurse asked a question.

Thats it from me enough said and i can tell you i will not be asking hanging around again to find out pet information

I feel like you are being very defensive and have brought out an issue that wasn't there and have misunderstood me. I never mentioned anything about qualifieds and what they can or can not do. I said they aren't vets, meaning exactly that! nothing more! that it wouldn't be fair to come on here and expect advice from the members here because it's not a pet forum and of liability issues.

I then tried to support what I thought was a shared feeling from previous posts and posts on other threads recently that this isn't a pet forum and it's meant for veterinary staff and pre veterinary staff. But was certainly not assuming all agreed.

You should always first x-ray the mouth to find out the state of below gum line. Every one tends to "just remove them" as standard during castrations etc this in fact is wrong and can and often does result in problems even if not realised for the adult canines as they are damaged while the deci. teeth are being removed. The x-ray allows visualisation of what is going on below the gum line and a plan for removal also a post x-ray should also be taken to see any displacement.

This is not done as people wouldn't pay for it but is the correct way and it should not be the "just" job it is.

Just throw something in here. Had a conversation some time ago with Alex the dental specialist re deciddecid...baby teeth (sorry brain worse than dead at moment on spelling)

This is not done as people wouldn't pay for it but is the correct way and it should not be the "just" job it is.

I wasn't referring to that post only I was speaking in general. You gave lovely advice and that was very nice of you. :) I would have done the same if was qualified or knowledgeable. But I'm not so I left it on the advice bit. :D I'm not putting down the idea of advice on here. I'm just not keen on this becoming a pet advice forum for owners and non veterinary professionals/students.
