I know this has been discussed previously and i've had a look through the past posts, but wondering what people are using now instead of Trigene.
I knows there Anigene and Anistel, but i've also been contacted by a company selling Viracare

Re: disinfectants

http://www.medi-mark.co.uk/?/news/article/users_of_trigene_advance/

ok so they arent actually saying what the ingredient is just alluding to it and suggesting retesting which usually means more animal testing not just microbiological testing, especially as they are suggesting the involvement of a possible carcinogen. I appreciate Medichem have spent money getting their product certified but is this just a repeat of Genetrix spending money licensing Kbr just so they can wipe out the competition and charge what they like? Who suffers at the end of it? - well that would be the pet that needs the product the owner can no longer afford because of the price hike or the pet because the owner is having to pay more because of increased practice overheads

The more I read about this and others the more I wonder just how much underhand stuff is going on out there and the more distasteful it all becomes.

Again not singling out either Medichem or Genetrix as I am sure there are plenty more out there doing the same thing

That's the link. Got to scroll down to June though.
Don't be put off re price per bottle of F10..the dilution factor on the F10Sc is usually 1:250 so goes a long way IF diluted correctly.

I'd like to point out that the F10 Practice Hygiene and Infection Control product range is now readily available in the UK (many of you working in the exotics sector may know, and love, the products). F10 Products are registered in many countries (EPA in the US, which is probably the most demanding regulatory regime in the world) and are market leaders in South Africa and Australia. Safety first! Check it out www.f10products.co.uk

We initially bought anigene by mistake as the two names are so similar - having already decided that we would not be using anigene a) because I have no interest in a company whose primary sales pitch was to diss a competitors product and b) because trigene was a product I was happy with.

Its a real turnoff for me when I hear that sort of thing to be honest. A good product sells on its merits not on the amount of 'dirt' (no pun intended) you can dish out on a competitor. - its not just this company, so they have no need to feel I am singling them out, I have similar issues with genetrix and bayer and probably a few more if I think back. Just saying it as I see it
