&lt;p&gt;I know this is from Oz but the illistration are the ones i was given for when i did my practicals (last year) Step 7 as far as i can tell is the tips of the figers making a circular motion on the palm (no thumb included)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Link above shows this step indicated with arrows curving inwards (the fingers?)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When I took my OSCE&amp;#39;s (2010) and got to this point &amp;nbsp;the method used was a mixture of up and down and side to side movement (palms rubbed side to side and around and fingers up and down and between each other...) . So long as the full length of the fingers and entire palms are fully covered I cannot see why there would be a problem? I passed... I used same method to teach two students who both passed in 2011 / 2012 respectively.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I will be the first one to admit my experience may not be the definite answer tho! - perhaps ask an examiner for total vigilance?!&lt;/p&gt;
