This will be at the end of January next year!
Now Im panicking!! Is this long enough

Re: Weddings!

A good friend of the family is a florist, so all my flowers were not only beautiful, but I got them for practically nothing, and Garys Grandad is a photographer so I got all my pics for free.Big saving.

I organised my wedding in 3 months

Re: Weddings!

Our wedding was simple. We were lucky to have various family and friends that contributed- a good friend of my mums did the wedding cake (no ordinary cake, not only did it taste fab it was decorated with sheep and collie dogs, perfect for us!).

Another pal of mums did the flowers for the church, and another is a darn good photographer and she did the wedding pics and i tell you it was fantastic coz it was quite relaxed and as a result we had plenty of fab photos.

My dress was simple- and it was in a sale!!!!!!!!!

I think your day is what you make it, theres no doubt people can spend a huge eye watering amount of money but it doesnt have to be that way.

My advice is whatever you do, enjoy it! Its all about you and your man, so enjoy it coz after all the planning the day goes past in a flash!

Re: Weddings!

Congratulations on wishing to join the great unwashed or leaving them not sure which

Registry office and bring a bottle party. Cheap fun and cheerful Never worked out why it should take so long to organise a wedding, but then we just kept it very small. Would say that January is probably a good time as most hitches are spring summer and prices probably go up, certainyl it would be harder to find venues (unless you have it at home?)

Just run away and come back married that would be even easier. Could just let your folks/immediate family in on the details so they can go and not get pissed off about being left out.

Re: Weddings!

Congratulations LoobyLou!!

A year is loads of time, I was only engaged for a year! Incidentally, I didnt get my wedding dress until December and I got married in February!! But thats just me!

You have loads of time - dont panic. I guess the first thing to do is book the venue and take the rest from there
