We buy ours from NVS and when they were out of stock on one occasion we got it from Henry Schrein

Yes I had this problem with Boots refusing to supply fybogel for my own cat. In the finish bought it online at amazon (where even including postage it worked out cheaper than Boots) I know they have to be careful but sometimes.... Hopefully if last weeks surgery works he wont need it anymore

Has Forgastrin ceased to exist? I used to order this in the past and know I have had it from NVS, Dunlops and Centaur

If you have a veterinary prescription I don't see why they would have a problem. Don't NVS/ Henry Schein do it?

It's not prescription medicine,as I recall - just get some for home use. It's not illegal in any way; just chemists are often worried about being liable for animal health in case something goes wrong. (eg if you give paracetamol to a cat you'll kill it, and so on!) Perhaps a letter from the veterinary surgeon indicating it's for a pet under professional care?
