I work at a RSPCA shelter, last year they built a small veterinary suite and employed me to nurse. We have external vets come in three times a week to operate etc. It's a great facility and we are saving the charity around £1500 a month by

Re: Old equipment

http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/forums/t/20034.aspx Just seen this post a few topics down the list - they have anaesthetic machines etc! Give them a shout

Re: Old equipment

With blood machines we tend to rent ours so when we change them they go back to the original supplier (IDEXX/Dechra etc)... might be worth checking out with them how much they charge charities for rental - you might get a better deal than private surgeries.

Can't help with the other kit, sorry but hope you find something soon - if you can find a budget for 2nd hand might be worth speaking to the suppliers like Burtons as they sometimes have returns which they sell cheaper than full price, we got a "new" set of dog scales much cheaper purely because they'd been returned as unsuitable by another practice, they're as new though so worth a call maybe to see what prices they are?
