I remember for mine I knew instruments inside out. Worked in large practice doing loads of surgery, used to name them all when cleaning the kits!

Not 1 questino in written, and notjing in OSCEs, was gutted!

i had flash cards for xrays/instruments and carried them with me everywhere and I never even got any xrays!! 4 of us travelled to Myerscough, 2 of us passed but the other 2 failed, they have just sat them again and passed as I am sure you will do Icklesal, the very best of luck xx

The feedback is so much better now.

Practise TIMED OSCEs either yourself or with an observer. This really helps, as you usually have much more time than you realise.

Ask to take home gown and gloves/drapes/slef seal bag to practise. Also do pictures of instruments to match with names...

Thanks guys. I knew I had failed 3 which were hip score, pack drape (although I didn't fail on the part that i thought) and ivft flush line/attach giving set. Didnt finish ivft task as was my first task on the exam so didn't realise how fast 6 mins goes!!! I also failed parasite cos got vernier scale wrong and I failed blood smear! Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!

I got mine but I failed. Only passed 7 of the 8 I needed. Gutted and feeling very sad :-(
