&lt;p&gt;With bank holiday, if you normally get paid for the bank holidays you should still be paid in full for this day &amp;amp; not SSP, so technically I would say that you will be paid SSP for 4 days of that week, unless you discuss your day holiday with manager.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Hope this helps, maybe have a look at the HMRC website under sick pay, hopefully it will explain it a little better and will detail how much SSP is these days so you can work out how much you be earning&lt;/p&gt;
