Im getting so stressed and confused looking at so many different websites!
I have a laptop already, and I think I want to sign up to pay monthly

Re: mobile broadband

hi there,

when you sign up to mobile broadband you get a dongle and a sim card. you insert the sim card into the dongle and this then goes into your laptop USB port.

In theory the dongle is much like a mobile phone. I am currently with orange and pay £30/mth for 3G download limit per month. So your monthly d/load limit is a bit like your free minutes on your mobile contract, so if you go over your monthly download limit you get charged.

I find mobile broadband great can be used anywhere and no landline required.

I got mine from the carphone warehouse and found them really helpful. Obviously they do all the networks not just one and will find the one with the best coverage in your area.

Re: mobile broadband

Thank you for your reply, I just had a look at website, I am with orange too paying £25 a month, my only concern with that is when I do the postcode checker it says only have good 2G coverage not 3G at my home address, will this make a difference?

Re: mobile broadband

I am with Orange.
